Amare Stoudemire apparently following on LeBron James' steps and finally got engaged on Saturday to Alexis Welch, the mother of Stoudemire’s three children. 

“I have been planning my proposal for a while and overlooking the entire Paris skyline seemed like a perfect place," Stoudemire said in a statement. "I am so happy she said 'Yes' and now we can continue to build our life together as husband and wife." 

Stoudemire, who met Welch in 2002, made the proposal of the ring -- designed by celebrity jeweler Shayan Afshar -- while overlooking the Eiffel Tower outside their penthouse Le Meurice Hotel Belle Etoile Royal Suite. 

The couple haven't set the specific date except to say it'll be in 2013.
